It's the perfect season for a round of golf! Last weekend, I visited Imperial Klub Golf (Imperial CC), a true gem located in Tangerang. Between the breathtaking nature in the heart of the city and the strategic course layout, I completely lost track of time. I’m excited to share my experience of the beautiful scenery and the fantastic day I had at Imperial.
1. Location & Overview
Location : Lippo Karawaci, Tangerang, Indonesia (approx. 25–35 minutes from downtown Jakarta).

2. Pros & Cons
Pros :
Accessibility : Conveniently located near downtown Jakarta and the airport.
Course Condition : Fairways and greens are meticulously maintained with an excellent drainage system.
Amenities : Offers high-quality services in connection with the 5-star Aryaduta Hotel, including premium sauna and massage facilities.
Cons :
Difficulty : Many hazards and bunkers can make it challenging for beginners.
Temperature : Being located in the city, it can feel slightly warmer compared to courses in the Bogor highlands.

3. Signature Hole & Course Strategy
Signature Hole (Hole 4, 'Lotus') : Famous for its stunning island green shaped like a lotus flower. Accurate shots are essential, and the view is absolutely breathtaking.

Course Strategy :
Precise Tee Shots : The fairways are narrow with strategically placed bunkers, prioritizing accuracy over distance.
Near the Green : The undulating greens and surrounding bunkers mean that the accuracy of your approach shot will determine your score.
4. Personal Review
Located on the outskirts of Jakarta, the accessibility is top-notch. Since it sits within a residential complex, the surroundings are clean and organized. One of the best parts was the variety of dining options nearby, rather than just being limited to the clubhouse.
Even though it was the rainy season, the drainage was incredible—the fairways remained firm. Even after a heavy rain the previous day, the course was dry enough that my socks didn't get wet at all. The caddies are also highly professional, providing expert advice on distance and green reading.
